Mary Nazzal-Batayneh
Named one of Forbes' "Most Powerful Arab Women," Mary has been recognized for her legal activism, business success, and community impact. Mary's experience sits at the nexus of impact, purpose, and business. After successfully positioning Landmark Hotel as a leading local business, she currently serves as Chairperson. She also created 17 Ventures, which was inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and is focused on building impact economies. Mary's latest venture is MVMNT which is leading the way in bringing holistic and inclusive wellness to the region and includes a dynamic Wellness Hub in Amman. She was chosen as Jordan’s Top Businesswoman in 2019 and was featured as a Forbes Cover Story entitled "Humanity Meets Humanity." She was also featured in Entrepreneur and Magnitt magazine for her initiatives that highlight conscious and purpose-driven entrepreneurship. She is a former Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and a qualified Barrister (Bar of England & Wales). Mary holds degrees from Columbia University, SOAS University of London, College of Law, Inns of Court School of Law as well as Executive Education degrees from Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, Oxford University and Columbia Business School.
