The Jordan Cinema Academy – a program by The Royal Film Commission – Jordan in cooperation with the German Jordanian University – is pleased to announce the start of the academic year for its first intake today.
The first edition of the Arab Producers Lab (APL), organized by the Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) in collaboration with the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) – Europe’s leading training, development, and networking organization for producers – was concluded on Thursday 3rd of October. The sessions started on the 29th of September at the Royal Film Commission, with the participation of six selected projects by Arab directors and producers working on their first or second narrative feature film.
The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) hosted a delegation of five high-profile representatives of prominent international cinema and television studios and production companies for a familiarization tour of Jordan from September 15-21, in partnership with the USAID Economic Reform Activity, Olivewood Studios, and Royal Jordanian.
The tour introduced the visiting delegates to Jordan’s amazingly diverse and unique camera-ready locations, as well as to the country’s solid film infrastructure and skilled crew base.

The third edition of the Jordan Children’s Film Festival (JCFF) kicked off last night Sunday 4th of August, organized by the Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC), which partnered this year with the Children’s Museum Jordan, this year festival introduced by UNICEF, the Child Rights Special Award. Esteemed guests, RFC’s Board members and partners attended the opening ceremony, as well as a large number of children with their families.

The fourth edition of the Mosalsalat Screenwriters Lab (MSL), organized by the Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC), was concluded today Wednesday 29th of May. The sessions were held from 24th until 29th May at Azraq Lodge, in the Azraq Wetlands Reserve east of Jordan, with the participation of five selected television projects by Arab screenwriters working on developing scripts for their first TV series projects.
