No, bridging is not possible.

Is it possible to equate hours from similar majors for JCA’s diploma?

No, it is not.

What are the academic requirements to apply for JCA’s diploma?

At least a high school certificate or an equivalent.

Is it a full-time-based diploma?

It is full-time as there would be other requirements like activities and tasks during and after the working hours of JCA.

Is relevant experience in the filmmaking industry a requirement?

Experience is preferred, but it is not a mandatory requirement.

What is the cost of the JCA’s diploma?

The cost is 5,000 Jordanian dinars, divided equally into four payments (one payment each semester).

Are there scholarships to cover the cost of the diploma program?

The scholarship covers 75% of the diploma program, starting in the second semester. It is granted based on the student’s academic performance. The scholarship, however, is not guaranteed, so students should be able to cover the fees in any case.

Is there financial support provided during the diploma (pocket money)?

Yes, but it is limited. Please mention that in your application.

When does the diploma start and end?

It starts in September 2024 and ends in December 2025.

How long is each semester?

- First semester: four months.

- Second semester: four months.

- Third semester (summer semester): one month.

- Fourth semester (graduation project): five months.

Is the diploma certificate accredited by official bodies?

Yes, it will be issued by the Jordan Cinema Academy (JCA) and approved by the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC).

Who is the academic staff at the Jordan Cinema Academy (JCA)?

The academic staff is composed of Jordanian, Arab and international filmmakers and academics.

Does the academy assist non-Jordanian students in obtaining residency?

The Jordan Cinema Academy (JCA) grants a JCA student’s proof with details of the diploma. Residency is the student’s responsibility to follow up with the relevant authorities, and the Academy does not guarantee that any residency will be granted.
