East

Wadi Dahek, also known as the “white desert,” is a unique natural wonder located in southern Jordan near the Saudi borderline, around al-Omari checkpoint. The area is a sanctuary for marine fossils and is home to a rich variety of geological formations.

The white desert is characterized by its chalky white rock formations that have been eroded over time by wind and water, creating stunning landscapes that are a photographer’s dream. These formations have exposed millions of years of geological history, including fossils of ancient marine creatures that once lived in the area when it was covered by the sea.
