Sonia, a 12-year-old girl with albinism from a poor village near Bengaluru, faces discrimination and hostility at her new city school. Her alcoholic father disdains her, and her helpless mother can offer little support. Despite apathy from her teacher, Sonia transforms from a shy, self-pitying teenager into a mature young woman who finds peace with herself and her surroundings.

The film won the Asian New Talents Best Actress award at the 2024 Shanghai International Film Festival. It was also nominated for four more awards at the same festival.
