The Bus

Melek Majdoub, eight minutes, Drama, Arabic with English subtitles, 2023, Tunisia.  
A group of children lives in a remote village. Every morning, they strive to reach their distant school. Amidst their struggles and relentless efforts to reach their destination, the children hope for a stroke of luck someday, with a bus that would help them overcome the rugged roads and spare them from their daily hardships.

The Weekend

Arman goes to his mother's house as usual on the weekend, but Nasreen and her husband have to go to the airport to get an immigration visa to Canada.

An aspirational yet unconfident pre-teen named Moti discovers a pure gold medal while collecting coins at the river bottom. What he believes will bring him prosperity instead leads him down a path of unexpected challenges.

Said, a 13-year-old boy lives in the old Medina of Rabat. In the summer he has a side job, collecting empty beer bottles and selling them to a shop. With the money he wants to buy food for a dog he is hiding. One time his closest friend tells him that it isn’t right to do that.

Thobe El Eid (Celebration Gown)

On the eve of Eid, 10-year-old Suad tries to find the perfect dress. Her first choice turns out to be too small for her, so her mother takes her to the women’s section where she finds another one, but it’s also small. Her insecurities kick in and she goes through a journey learning some valuable lessons on the way.
