Bassam Adham Hajjawi
After graduating from the American University in Beirut, and obtaining a Production Diploma from BBC, London, Bassam Hajjawi worked at Jordan Television as a Program Coordinator and Documentary / Drama Producer.
In 1974, he moved to Dubai TV in the programming department, and two years later he started his own production and distribution company in Amman, Jordan, he also represented major American and European companies for distributing their programs in the MENA region. He is still active in that domain.
Hajjawi was twice a juror and host for the International Academy Awards nominations for documentaries, in Amman and in Dubai (with Al-Arabiya Channel).
President of Jordanian Intellectual Property Association, Bassam Hajjawi was also elected as President of The Jordanian Producers’ Association from 2002-2006 and again in 2021. He is currently a Commissioner in the Board of the Royal Film Commission – Jordan since 2005.
