Amman, 27 April 2023 – The Royal Film Commission – Jordan is pleased to announce that the overall Jordan Film Fund’s (JFF) budget for the 8th cycle of 2023 has increased to USD 650,000 (six hundred and fifty thousand US Dollars – JOD 450,000). The budget increase will offer Jordanian and Arab directors more fund value and shooting flexibility, especially for the feature narrative projects.

Arab directors working on their feature narrative films - co-produced with Jordan and employing Jordanian cast and crew - can apply for the JFF’s support (up to USD 100,000), regardless of the shooting locations.

As for Jordanian feature narrative projects, they are offered a higher production amount (up to USD 140,000), doubling what was offered by the JFF in previous cycles. In addition, Jordanian projects have more flexibility in terms of shooting locations, provided they are working with Jordanian cast and crew.

A new category was established to support the marketing and distribution of Jordanian feature narrative and documentary projects with a value of USD 14,000.

Finally, the fund allocated for Jordanian shorts has also increased up to USD 30,000 – as compared to USD 14,000 in past years.

The JFF’s application deadline is Monday May 29th, 2023, at midnight (Jordan Time). For more information, visit the JFF’s website: http://www.film.jo/Contents/Jordan-Film-Fund.aspx or contact the JFF team at: [email protected]  or call +962797557229.
