About Mosaic Post-production Lab

Mosaic Post-production Lab, an initiative of The Royal Film Commission - Jordan (RFC), is a pioneering regional training program designed to support Arab film editors and directors in the post-production stage of their first or second feature-length films. This consultancy program aims to elevate filmmakers' creative potential, enabling them to deliver the best version of their envisioned films with guidance from highly qualified experts.

Program Overview

Phase 1: Online Consultancy (Three Months from 4th November 2024 to 9th February 2025) 
The first phase offers a comprehensive online consultancy with a diverse group of industry experts. This phase focuses on the creative aspects of post-production, helping filmmakers craft coherent and compelling stories through effective editing. Participants will learn best practices for workflows that minimize disruptions to their creative process and receive valuable tips on editing video and sound tailored to their film’s genre, mood, and tone.

Phase 2: In-person Lab (Five Days in Jordan from 10th – 16th April 2025)
The second phase involves an intensive five-day lab in Jordan, featuring private screenings to target groups followed by insightful Q&A sessions. These sessions provide filmmakers with critical feedback for refining their cuts. Additionally, participants will engage in group sessions and one-on-one meetings with industry experts covering essential topics such as color grading, sound design, and VFX.
