Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) Nominated for LMGI 11th Outstanding Film Commission Award for "Dune: Part Two"
Amman, Jordan – 4 July, 2024 – The Royal Film Commission of Jordan (RFC) is proud to announce its nomination for the Outstanding Film Commission Award by the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) in its 11th annual awards. This recognition highlights the exceptional filming services provided for "Dune: Part Two," one of the highest-grossing films of 2024.
“Dune: Part Two” was shot in the Kingdom in 2022, specifically in the areas of Wadi Rum, Wadi Araba, Aqaba and the (eastern desert). These dazzling landscapes, which have always served as filming locations for international movies, played a crucial role in bringing the film's enchanting world to life, providing the perfect backdrop for the epic science fiction narrative. "Dune: Part Two," which has grossed over $950 million worldwide, showcases Jordan's diverse terrain as a premier filming destination.

This isn’t the RFC’s first achievement at the LMGI Awards, as the commission previously won the same award back in 2017, for the Hollywood blockbuster “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”. Moreover, Jordanian Location Manager Ghaith Al Kurdi, won the LMGI Award for Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Feature Film for “John Wick: Chapter 4” as well.
