Amman, 27 April 2023 – The Royal Film Commission – Jordan is pleased to announce that the overall Jordan Film Fund’s (JFF) budget for the 8th cycle of 2023 has increased to USD 650,000 (six hundred and fifty thousand US Dollars – JOD 450,000). The budget increase will offer Jordanian and Arab directors more fund value and shooting flexibility, especially for the feature narrative projects.
The 17th edition of Rawi Screenwriters Lab wrapped up today with the participation of eight Arab screenplay writers (Rawi Fellows), who worked intensively on developing their promising feature-length screenplays over five days.
The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) organized this year’s Lab from the 25th until 30th of November at Wadi Feynan in the southwestern edge of the Dana Biosphere Reserve. The lab’s activities took place in a serene and inspiring ambiance, suitable for creativity and dialogue at Feynan Ecolodge.

The first edition of the Jordan Children’s Film Festival (JCFF) kicks off next Thursday, 24th of November, organized by the Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC). The festival presents daily screenings until Sunday 27th of November at the Rainbow Theater in Jabal Amman.
The Royal Film Commission - Jordan (RFC) announced, yesterday, that 15 cinematic and TV series projects were granted financial support by the Jordan Film Fund (JFF) in its Seventh cycle for the year 2022 with a total amount of two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) Jordanian dinars.
The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) and the French National Audiovisual Institute (INA) signed today a Memorandum of Understanding, with the support of the French Embassy in Amman, to strengthen and broaden their cooperation in the field of training professionals and students in the Audio-visual industry.
The second edition of the Mosalsalat Screenwriters Lab’s, organized by the Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC), wrapped up yesterday. The Lab was held from 16th until 20th of May in Azraq Lodge (Azraq) with five selected TV projects by Arab screenwriters working on developing the scripts for their narrative series projects.
40 projects were initially submitted from the Arab region and were reviewed by a reading committee of professionals in the fields of film and TV.

The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) continues to forge new international partnerships in the field of local training in the art of filmmaking. The RFC will cooperate with the Malmö Arab Film Festival (MAFF), with the support of the Swedish Institute, in organizing a new training program entitled the “Voices Amplified” project for producing short narratives. The project will take place from September 2021 to February 2022 in Amman.
